3 and 4) Amazing visits in my beloved NYC with @patarnow and Steve Giles and with the fantastic @garywedow — and so many of my fav folks not pictured: @sydney.mancasola @patric_astillo @mochrisallen @zoe.cb.allen @faridanyf #stephenwadsworth #benedictejourdois @yr_highness and @mikebench. That city has my heart 😍

5-7) Back to home for a gala @oper_frankfurt singing Kurt Weill and Monteverdi, what a delicious pairing! With #thomasguggeis and @museumsorchester_ffm and my dear friends and fellow ensemble members @michael_the_tenor and @kels.lauritano and our fab coach @felicefelice 😎

8) More nights in Zweite Dame’s short skirt in @tedddrh’s Flute conducted by the wonderful @aldenpiano 😚

9 and 10) And big birthday celebrations for my boys!!! Garden party for the little one and a trip to the Rheingau for the big one 🥰

I write this in London on my first free evening in a while. Tomorrow night I’ll sing Megacle in Vivaldi’s L’Olimpiade with @ensemblematheus and #jeanchristophespinosi at the @ifru_london! 🥳

Debuting Carmen this month @austinopera alongside my love @samlevinesings was truly a career and life highlight. Carmen was the first opera I ever saw live, and it’s long been a wish of mine to play this iconic character. Carmen is so full of life, so strong and smart, always one step ahead and never willing to apologize for who she is - besides all the killing and smuggling, she’s my role model 😅. So grateful to these three gems for making my debut possible! @motmyers @nypoint @operaannieb 🥰

I got to sing my first Bach St. John’s Passion this year, on tour in Paris, Zurich, Basel and Amsterdam. This music is so incredibly moving, surprising, complex…this is a clip from a rehearsal of one of the alto arias, Es ist vollbracht. It was such a treat to blend with these baroque musicians from the Orchestra of the 18th C and lean into some straight tone, quite a change from the operatic traditions that are my regular fare!
